Learn Blender with AI through your own project

With Blender Bridge, you can start learning Blender through your own project, even if you have never opened Blender before. ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or Qwen Code can create a scene from your request. Ask it to explain the objects, materials, lighting and animation, then explore them directly in Blender.

Start with something you want to make

Choose a small project without waiting to learn every part of Blender: a desk lamp, a room, a game prop or a short model rotation. Describe the result you want and how you plan to use it. Ask the AI to start with the main shape, show it to you and explain the next step.

You get a regular Blender scene. Select an object, inspect its materials and modifiers, move the camera or continue in chat. The AI creates the scene through Blender's Python API, so you can also ask it to explain the code used for an operation.

Four prompts for your first project

Add instructions such as "use plain language," "work one stage at a time" or "show me where this is in Blender."

Getting started

  1. Download Blender Bridge for Windows 10 or 11 and install it. If you don't have Blender yet, click Download Blender during first-run setup, install it (4.2 or later) and come back to choose it.
  2. Create an account, verify your email and activate the trial, or sign in with an active subscription.
  3. In the app's first-run setup, choose Blender and a project folder, then finish installing the Blender Bridge extension in Blender.
  4. Connect your AI, open Blender and describe your first project.

Which way to start:

Learn as you work

Ask the AI to alternate between doing and explaining: "make the shape, then explain why that modifier helps." It can request a scene screenshot to inspect the result and refine it. Change one setting at a time and compare: "move the light farther away," "raise the camera" or "make the material less glossy." The explanation relates to an object you can already see in your project.

Blender Bridge saves checkpoints of the AI's work. Ask for the available checkpoints and return to one when you want to try a different approach.

Save the scene and explore how it works

The scene is open in Blender. To keep a file, ask the AI to save it as .blend. Open that file again to explore its objects, materials, cameras and animation. For an image, request a PNG render. To use a model in another application, ask for an export in the required format. Files are saved in your project folder. With a server connection, you can request downloads in chat.

Choose one result for your first project. Then explore building 3D models, animation or exporting.
