Collaboration

With Blender Bridge, two people work in one Blender, each through their own AI. One person provides Blender on their computer; the other gives tasks to their own AI — ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or another — from any device. Access to the computer opens only with its owner's consent.

How to start

  1. Both people sign in to Blender Bridge with accounts that have a confirmed email and active access.
  2. In the Blender Bridge app, open Settings → Collaboration and choose your role for this session:
    • Receive commands in Blender — you provide your computer, and the invited person's AI runs commands in your Blender;
    • AI control — you ask for access to someone else's Blender and work in it through your own AI; you don't need a Blender computer of your own.
  3. Invite the person by their Blender Bridge account email or from your friends list. If you don't have a Blender computer of your own, invite them right from the chat: ask the AI to send the invitation.
  4. The other person sees their role and accepts in the app or the plugin. If they accept the Receive commands in Blender role, they choose which of their computers to provide. With MCP, they can ask the AI to find and accept the invitation.
  5. After acceptance, the person in control chooses the shared computer in the plugin or asks the AI to select it. Blender Bridge and Blender must be running on that computer.

How the other person connects their AI

Working in someone else's Blender goes through the Blender Bridge server, so the other person connects their AI in one of two ways:
